The traditional habitat of Quebec trappers!
Originating in the large forests of North America and more particularly from those in Canada and Quebec, the trapper cabin is the traditional habitat of Trappers. This name comes from the hunting technique (trapping) practised in Quebec to obtain animal fur.
Made from wooden logs piled one on top of another using a traditional method, this cabin has a feeling of warmth and friendliness during the cold weather and stays cool during the summer period.

Very pretty cabin with its spa. Change of scenery with the forest that surrounds the area as well as the greenery, sounds of birds and frogs. Great place!

Very mixed with this trip. Negative points: the heat in the cabin, so we asked to have a fan because we had very bad nights, the person at the reception answered us that it was not in the policy of the site while the latter had a fan pointed at him all day (this policy is therefore only for travelers) It would be wise to be consistent and aligned with the values that the site wants to convey. So we had to leave the door and window open to draft, but many bugs entered during the night and therefore did not improve our sleep. I would not add the other problems encountered during our stay which are linked to the environment in which we were and not to the site, but which thwarted our vacation. Strengths: The ecotelia domain is an unusual domain with a lot of charm. We had selected the trapper's cabin with spa, we loved the accommodation which is very nice and especially the spa. In addition it is a very quiet place and most importantly, not too close to other travelers. If we had had a good night's sleep this week, the trip would have been great.

A dream night in the trapper's cabin for Valentine's Day. A warm and friendly welcome. A magical place in the middle of the countryside where only the sound of birds reigns. Perched huts, caravans, yurts and our hut: the trapper's hut. An eco-friendly fashion that is fun to see and experience. A cabin that smells of wood and takes you in the nose when you return. A real joy. Rose petals, candles for the pleasure of Madame for Valentine's Day. The local meal and the breakfast brought in a wicker basket were a treat. The spa at 38 ° and under a starry sky with a temperature of less than 8 °. It was just the perfect dream evening. A big thank you to you for a good time spent in this beautiful, quiet place. Continue like this, it's perfect.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback and for this nice rating. We also thank you for these beautiful compliments concerning the domain. Regarding the heat, indeed during a heat wave we understand that you may be disturbed by the heat. On the other hand, there was a misunderstanding during our exchange at reception on this point. It's not the fan that is not in our environmental policy but the air conditioning :-). We do have a fan at reception, but we have not equipped the accommodation with fans, because it takes up a lot of space and the configuration of the unusual accommodation does not allow it, in the majority of cases. Moreover being in the middle of nature, the best solution when the temperatures are high, remains the opening of the windows. Most of the time they go down well at the end of the day so that's enough. But indeed "natural environment" can sometimes go hand in hand with the visit of our insect friends :-) We apologize for the misunderstanding during our discussion and wish you a pleasant summer.
